Meet Dr. Jacobsen
Dr. Jared Jacobsen chose to pursue a career in orthodontics as a result of his positive experience as a patient while in treatment and is passionate about the opportunity to enhance people’s lives through shaping beautiful smiles.
After completing his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University, Dr. Jacobsen received his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco with honors in 1998. Dr. Jacobsen then completed the 3 year post-graduate program at the University of Southern California, where he received both his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s Degree in Craniofacial Biology.
Dr. Jacobsen provides orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults using either braces or Invisalign. Dr. Jacobsen became an Invisalign Premier Provider in 2009, a distinction awarded to only the top 5% of all Invisalign providers.
Dr. Jacobsen remains current in the latest advances in orthodontics through continuing education. Dr. Jacobsen has presented lectures to his peers at the Orange County Dental Study Club on topics such as “Phase 1 Interceptive Orthodontic Treatment in Children”, and “Restorative Treatment Decisions to Achieve Optimal Esthetics in Orthodontic Treatment”. As a testement to his dedication to both the study and practice of orthodontics, Dr. Jacobsen was voted by his dental colleagues as a Top Dentist in Orange County as featured in Coast Magazine.
In his spare time, Dr. Jacobsen enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their four children. An avid sports fan, he also enjoys watching college and professional sports.
