At Jacobsen Orthodontics, we enjoy helping adults achieve and keep a beautiful, healthy smile. It is an exciting time in orthodontic treatment, as the Invisalign appliance can be used in many cases to achieve that beautiful smile without drawing attention to the fact that you are in treatment. We also offer ceramic (tooth colored) braces. Dr. Jacobsen will discuss with you the positive changes you would like to see through orthodontic treatment, and the best way to make these changes a reality in a comfortable and esthetic way. Some adults require an evaluation by a periodontist (gum specialist) to determine if there are any special needs during orthodontic treatment. While some adults may be hesitant to consider orthodontic treatment, you will be in good company as approximately 20-25% of all orthodontic patients are adults.
